Happy New Year!
Hi again.
I have blogged a lot about my favourite ways to make the fabric I use more interesting. I thought it might be useful to bring together all of the different posts I made in 2014 into one place. So, here are the best. Click on the picture to go to the original post.

Hi Claire, Thanks for all the useful info on your blog, it's also great to get an e-mail when you update. I got some Inktense pencils for Christmas, they are fabulous! Not had much time to try them out yet but can't wait. Happy New Quilting Year!

Hi Janet
Thanks for your comment - it is always nice to have some feedback.
I am so glad you are enjoying your new pencils - they are fabulously vibrant aren't they? And so versatile.
I love your 12 x 12 of Tulips from Amsterdam. i have only seen it in the online gallery, but it is so striking. Congratulations! - is that the piece you used the Markal paintsticks on? Best wishes

Hi Claire. Yes, it was Markal I used on Tulips from Amsterdam, I'm glad you liked it. The main tulip was applique but the smaller ones I really enjoyed doing with Markal through freezer paper stencils. I love the fact that you don't have to heat set the Inktense though - it's even tempting to touch up some of my older quilts with extra colour! Best wishes.

Hi Janet,
Yes - I agree. The inktense pencils are such a great product because they don't need any fussing. A great idea to use them on older work too. I also used them on a quilt that had one part which had faded in the sun - it worked a treat!
